FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical industry, namely, to reserve chemical sources of current in wide range of initial temperatures and resistant to mechanical loads. Thermal current source comprises an electric igniter mounted on a current-conducting printed circuit board fixed on a cover of a thermally insulated housing, inside which a unit of electrochemical elements is installed and fixed, made in the form of series-connected disc-type pyrones having anode and cathode plates adjacent to longitudinal fire-conducting tapes, wherein electric igniter is made in form of a filament bridge connected to printed circuit board through contact pads, and placed inside ignition charge, which fills axial channel covered with longitudinal fire-conducting tapes. Filament bridge ends by means of printed circuit board are connected to external power supply source, which provides starting pulse supply to ignition device initiating ignition charge, wherein the charge combustion products from the diffuser-shaped substrate are directed into an axial fire-transmitting channel to form a long-focus flame extinguishing all the elements of the thermal battery. Proposed technical solution stabilizes startup of current source, minimizing its time of operation.
EFFECT: increased reliability of actuation of a ignition device of a thermal current source.
