FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of endurance limit of steel parts and steel specimens by application of repeating or pulsating forces to them. Method comprises performing loading by forces applied at constant frequency and stepped amplitude variation, starting from level of mechanical stresses created below mechanical limit of endurance, at each stage of force increase, the measured temperature of the tested steel parts and samples in the most loaded zone and at the stage where the direct proportion is disturbed between increase in the amplitude of applied forces and temperature of the tested steel parts and samples is increased, fixing mechanical stresses, by value of which value of limit of endurance is determined.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity of the method for determination of limit of endurance, reduced time of tests, simplicity of the method, possibility of performing fatigue tests on one part or sample, safety of tested parts and possibility of their subsequent use.
