FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for making a lens polishing tool from optical glass. Described is a composition for polishing optical glass, containing rosin, wood peel, rosin soap and filler in form of a polishing powder, characterized in that as wood pitch it contains pine pitch, and filler – polishing powder of cerox and additionally contains beeswax and turpentine in following ratio of components, wt. %: rosin – 40.3–50.2; pine pitch – 32.6–43.5; rosin soft – 3.5–4.4; bee wax – 0.7–0.9; cerox – 9.7–11; turpentine – 1.4–1.8.
EFFECT: increasing wear resistance of polishing tool, enlarging temperature range of its use, increasing yield of fit parts at first presentation.
