FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing devices. Method of providing tightness of turbo-pump unit consists in determination of optimum range of contact pressure of sealing edge of reinforced collar, equal to 1.1÷1.4 kgf/cm2. Corresponding inner diameter of the collar, obtained by machining, is equal to diameter of shaft with tolerance field D-0.7-1.0. 100 % reinforced cuff sealing capacity control in the batch is carried out by the reinforced cuff sealing edge contact pressure measurement, and the inner diameter of the cuffs is controlled only for adjustment to the optimum range of contact pressure when making the first several cuffs of the new batch. In order to ensure tightness during long period of product storage value of contact pressure created by bracelet spring is equal to 1/3 value of contact pressure created by sealing edge of reinforced collar, and their total value is equal to 4/3 value of contact pressure.
EFFECT: ensuring reliable tightness of turbo-pump unit tested at high rpm and preserved fuel system during storage and transportation of aircrafts.
