SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction finishing materials, in particular such as floor, wall, ceiling panels, furniture components and method of making veneer and such element. Method of producing veneer-coated element (10) comprises making base (1), applying sublayer (2) on surface of base (1), applying veneer layer (3) on sub-layer (2) and applying pressure to veneer layer (3) and/or to base (1), wherein at least part (2a) of sublayer (2) penetrates veneer layer (3). Disclosure of invention also relates to such element (10) coated with veneer.
EFFECT: invention improves wear resistance, water resistance of the veneer surface, low-quality veneer and/or low-thickness veneer and low costs for obtaining a surface with an attractive pattern.
