SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light-transmitting composite materials amenable to subsequent thermoforming, suitable for use, in particular, for interior and exterior work as facing and finishing materials, for interior design, for decorating products, in the manufacture of furniture and similar products. The manufacturing method consists in taking organic glass as a basis, a veneer layer pretreated with 1.2-dichloroethane is applied to the base, the base and the veneer layer are covered with a plastic film, kept under pressure to connect the base and the veneer layer.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in wood consumption, a reduction in the weight of the final product, the possibility of giving a variety of shapes by thermoforming a ready-made composite material, providing the required structural and decorative properties of the product.
