SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for supply of a flavoring agent into an aerosol stream, produced by a smoking article, which comprises an electric heating element configured to be connected to a source of electrical energy; support element, in which or on which heating element is located, wherein the support member also carries electric contacts configured to connect the heating element to a power source which is located in the aerosol supply system or in the smoking article holder; and a fragrance generating means, arranged in the form of a layer on the surface of the support member with possibility of receiving heat from the heating element and containing a flavoring substance retained in the substrate material, capable of forming steam, wherein the substrate material is softened by heat, so that when electric energy is supplied to the heating element, heat is supplied to the facility for producing the flavoring agent, softening at least part of the substrate material and releasing at least a certain amount of the flavoring substance in the form of steam.
