FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process cartridge, an electrophotographic image forming device, into which a process cartridge can be installed with possibility of its replacement, and electrophotographic photosensitive drum unit. Claimed group contains variants of the drum units. Drum unit comprises: photosensitive drum having axis L1, drum flange provided on photosensitive drum end, wherein part of drum flange is located inside photosensitive drum, and connecting element having axis L2 and including (i) first end part, at least part of which is located within drum flange, (ii) a second end portion comprising (ii-i) a surface recessed in the second end portion and facing away from the first end portion, and (ii-ii) at least one protrusion extending from the surface adjacent to the recessed surface, and (iii) a connecting portion connecting the first end portion and the second end portion, wherein connecting element is movable between (i) first position, in which end point of said at least one protrusion is at first distance from photosensitive drum, when measured in the direction of the axis L1, and (ii) the second position, in which the end point of said at least one protrusion is at a second distance from the photosensitive drum, when measuring in direction of axis L1, where first distance is greater than second distance, and wherein maximum distance of at least part of connecting part, when measured from axis L2, in direction perpendicular to axis L2, is less than distance between said at least one protrusion and axis L2.
EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of process cartridge, capable of smoothly rotate photosensitive drum in direction of its axial line by its installation in main assembly, not equipped with mechanism for movement of connecting element on side of main assembly, for transferring the rotational force to the photosensitive drum by opening and closing the main assembly cover.
