FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to sound reproducing devices, namely to mechanisms providing protection of the captured sound from distortions, and can be used to improve sound reproduction quality on record players. Electromagnetic damping device for tonearm of turntable records contains magnets and current-conducting element. Magnets and the current-conducting element are detachable with the possibility of fixing one of them to the arm of the tonearm, and of the other one – to the case of the turntable so that mutual arrangement and shape of the magnetic and current-conducting elements ensure their non-contact electromagnetic interaction when the tonearm moves. Magnets are rigidly fixed on the bracket, at that the bracket is made in V-shape, each of the magnets is fixed on one of the upper ends of the bracket, and the lower end of the bracket is designed so that it can be attached to the player tonearm.

EFFECT: effective suppression of spurious oscillations.
