FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and a method for producing foam, in particular for producing aqueous foam for use in making gypsum boards. Device for preparation of foam for addition to binder mineral solution contains pipe with inlet for receiving of supplied gas and supplied surfactant and outlet hole for foam output, wherein the tube comprises a porous insert providing a partial fluid flow barrier in the pipe, the insert comprises a plurality of particles sealed into a regular matrix, wherein the particles form a three-dimensional network of pores, available between the particles, which contains an elastic component located between the insert and the pipe.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of monodisperse foam having larger size of bubbles and improved ratio of strength to weight for lightweight construction materials.
