FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of splicing a rope by means of a yoke, which can be used in a variety of fields of engineering and technology of machine building, for example, for machines using a traction or carrying-pull rope, including for aerial ropeways. In the proposed method of cable locking, the technical result of the invention is achieved by marking the length of the lock and the point of the rope docking, installing the clamps on the rope, rope entanglement on separate strands, rope strand cutting, rope strands ends treatment, rope docking into "lock", weaving of strands ends into rope centre with excavation of existing core, lining alignment, control of the striker by measurement of diameter at points of rope docking in "lock" in mutually perpendicular planes of rope and control of straightness of applied solid line on external surface of strands along length of lock under load, wherein the ends of the rope strands are treated by their reduction by a shrinking tube, inside which the powdered antifriction material is placed with subsequent temperature treatment, replacing the core on the length of the lock with a structure comprising a movable cylindrical rod, the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the strand in the shrink tube, and hollow cylinder with length exceeding collar length by value of two ends of extreme filled strands, processed with shrink tube, outer part of which in cross section is made in form of star with number of beams, equal to number of strands, and beam height of not less than half the diameter of the strand, having a helical shape with a lay pitch equal to the strand pitch in the rope, and with a segment radius between the beams, made equal to the diameter of the strands, wherein the beams in the vertex are in the form of a dovetail, and the hollow cylinder in each docking assembly of the "lock" has oval holes corresponding to the section at the angle of the strand diameter lay in the shrink tube, which number is equal to twice the number of strands evenly arranged in staggered order along helical line of hollow cylinder length, including uniformly in pairs, the number of strands strictly opposite to each other along radius of hollow cylinder, ends of strands are weaved in a shrink tube into the body of the hollow cylinder of the replaceable core, passing them through oval holes in each docking "lock" by replacing the movable cylindrical rod with ends of strands treated with a shrink tube.
EFFECT: providing uniform distribution of load between all strands in docking "lock" of saddle wheel transmitted by traction force cable, with possibility of provision of mobility of weaved strand and preservation of geometrical integrity of rope cross section.
