SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyethylene compositions suitable for making pipes and films. Disclosed is a composition of polyethylene for making extruded articles, having density of 0.945 to 0.955 g/cm3, determined in accordance with ISO 1183 at 23 °C; MIF/MIP ratio of 23 to 40; MIF value making from 8.5 to 18 g/10 min; HMWcopo index making from 3.5 to 20; and an index of long-chain branching (LCB) equal to or greater than 0.45. Disclosed also is a method of producing the disclosed polyethylene composition.

EFFECT: technical result is disclosed composition of polyethylene enables to obtain pipes and other extruded articles with improved mechanical properties.
