FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport machine building. Truck body for transportation of rock, ore or coal has a cross-section in the form of a chute and comprises a bottom part, rigidly connected to it side boards, front board, as well as reinforcement of bead upper edges in the form of shaped elements and reinforcing elements in rear part of body, covering bottom and side boards along body periphery. Bottom part in cross section has shape of reversed trapezoid with horizontal bottom and upwardly extending sides. Side flanges are made flat with lower edges bent inwards towards the bottom part and upper edges bent outwards. Value of width of horizontal bottom of body to width between upper edges of side boards lies within 0.3–0.5. Inclination angle α lateral sides to horizontal bottom lies within 130°–150°.

EFFECT: reduced weight of a body of a cargo vehicle with simultaneous increase of its service life.
