FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a measurement technique, namely, fiber optic hydrostatic level meters, and can be used for continuous measurement of the levels of various liquids. Declared fiber-optic level meter contains a laser associated with the inputs of the measuring fiber and the reference fiber, and photo detectors connected to the outputs of the optical fibers, and the outputs connected to the microprocessor device. Area of the light guides is isolated from the environment with a hollow tube. Level meter also contains a membrane that senses the pressure of the fluid, and a mechanism for transmitting the response of the membrane to the measuring light guide, formed by a rod, a support, plates with bearings and a sleeve with hangers. Measuring light guide in the gap between the slats is made in the form of at least one turn, fixed from opposite ends on the slats.

EFFECT: improving the accuracy of measuring the level and expanding the range of its measurement.
