SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in developing means of generating response mimetic radio interference of radioelectronic communication equipment, radiolocation, radio navigation, radio control. Method of generating response jamming consists in the fact that received signal is nonlinearly distorted, quality of nonlinear distortions of signal is checked, if the quality of non-linear distortions of the signal satisfies the specified requirements, then the distorted signal is emitted in the direction of the REC; otherwise, its spectrum is enriched with additional intermodulation components of 3rd order.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the method and apparatus for generating response interference of REC for various purposes owing to simplification of the process of generating interference in a wide frequency range and shortening the time for generation thereof.
