SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of controlling a base station and a subscriber station. Method for controlling a base station comprises steps of transmitting providing an uplink to a subscriber station and receiving, from a subscriber station, one or more uplink multiple input multiple output (MIMO) blocks from a subscriber station based on the number NL levels. At least one of reception acknowledgment/rejection (ACK/NACK) information and rank indicator (RI) information is transmitted in one or more uplink MIMO transport units, using at least one of the vector sequence qkACK and vector sequence qkRI, and wherein each of qkACK and qkRI contains NLQm bits and includes a sequence of qiACK ... qi + Qm-1ACK information and sequence of qiRI ... qi + Qm-1RI information, repeating NL times, where Qm is number of bits in symbol, qACK denotes ACK/NACK information bit and qRI denotes information bit RI.
EFFECT: technical result consists in transmission of control information, uniformly distributed over several levels of transmission.
