FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for spot welding of element consisting of multiple steel sheets, which overlap with each other in at least welding zone. At least one steel sheet of welded element has zinc coating, and total thickness of steel sheets is 1.35 mm or more. In compliance with given mathematical expressions, clamping time is selected from the moment of welding electrodes bringing into contact with welded element until electric current passage for welding begins, as well as holding time of electrodes after welding from the moment of termination of passage of electric current for welding until removal of welding electrodes and welded element from contact.
EFFECT: invention provides high tensile strength of the welded joint.
