SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in creation and operation of autonomous power supply systems of various objects, including during creation and operation of onboard power supply systems of spacecrafts. Method of autonomous power supply provision includes coordination of solar and accumulator battery operation with number of accumulators providing its minimum working discharge voltage exceeding voltage in working point at end of solar battery resource, wherein the nominal mode most optimal for the power supply system is stored during the entire service life of the solar and accumulator batteries by means of bypassing the failed battery in the accumulator battery by a bypass switch and then connecting one of the backup accumulators to the accumulator battery via a serial bypass switch.

EFFECT: improving reliability and resource of operation of the power supply system of an object, while maintaining high energy characteristics and stabilizing voltage on the load.
