FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the process cartridge, electrophotographic image forming apparatus, in which a replaceable process cartridge can be installed, and the electrophotographic photosensitive drum assembly. Claimed group contains variants of the drum units. Drum unit used in the process cartridge comprises: photosensitive drum having an axis L1, a drum flange provided on the end of the photosensitive drum, and connecting element having axis L2 and including (I) first end part connected to drum flange, (II) second end part including at least one ledge with inclined surface relative to plane perpendicular to axis L2, and (III) a connecting portion connecting the first end portion and the second end portion, wherein, when measuring along a line perpendicular to axis L2, maximum distance from axis L2 to outer surface of connecting portion is less than distance between axis L2 and said at least one protrusion, and wherein the connecting element is movable between (I) a first position in which the end point of said at least one protrusion is at a first distance from the photosensitive drum, when measured in the direction of the axis L1, and (II) a second position in which the end point of said at least one protrusion is at a second distance from the photosensitive drum, as measured in the direction of the axis L1, with the first distance greater than the second distance.

EFFECT: creation of a process cartridge capable of smoothly rotating a photosensitive drum by installing it in a main assembly which is not provided with a mechanism for moving the connecting member on the side of the main assembly in the direction of its axial line, for transferring the rotational force to the photosensitive drum by opening and closing the main unit cover.
