FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. At the first stage of the surgical intervention in the patient's position on the back under the xiphoid process behind the lower edge of the sternum, sternal lifting is performed by the universal system of retractors "Omni-Tract Surgical". An optical system is then inserted into the opening under the breastbone. Mediastinal and pleural cavity are inspected. Under video control additional thoracoports in IV and V intercostals are installed on the right. That is followed by the rapid administration of thymoma thymectomy. Surgical intervention is completed by sanation and drainage of the pleural cavity.
EFFECT: method provides higher safety of operative intervention, reduced length of surgical intervention, intraoperative blood loss, number of complications and length of hospital stay.
