FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an indoor unit for an air conditioning installation, and more particularly to an arrangement of a room temperature sensor. Inner unit for air conditioning installation comprises housing with rear surface installed to wall, and having air inlet and air outlet formed in it; heat exchanger and air transfer device located in the main air passage extending from the air inlet to the air outlet; and a room temperature sensor configured to determine the inlet air temperature, wherein the housing side surface has a first surface located on the housing outer side, a second surface located from the first surface in the housing inner direction, and a stepped surface formed between the first surface and the second surface and oriented towards the rear surface of the housing, the stepped surface having an air inlet port, from which air is to be transmitted to the room temperature sensor, opening to the rear surface side, wherein the room temperature sensor is located in the air passage communicating the air inlet port and the main air duct.

EFFECT: this allows creating an indoor unit in which the room temperature sensor is located such that the thermal action of the heat exchanger is prevented therein, and in which the ventilation opening is formed in a position in which the required amount of air is required to determine the temperature in the room, and where ventilation opening is less subject to visual recognition by user from outside to prevent deterioration of design of appearance.
