FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silylated polyurethanes. Disclosed is silylated polyurethane obtained by a method comprising steps (a) reacting at least one polyol with at least one triisocyanate to form a polyurethane prepolymer with terminal hydroxyl groups and (b) reacting said polyurethane prepolymer with at least one isocyanatosilane of formula (1): OCN-R-Si-(X)m(R1)3-m, where m is 0, 1 or 2, each R1 represents independently of each other a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an acyloxy group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms or -OCH(R2)COOR3, where R2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R3 is a linear or branched alkyl group containing 1 to 8 carbon atoms, each X is independently from each other optionally substituted hydrocarbon group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which can be interrupted by at least one heteroatom and R is a difunctional organic group, with terminal hydroxyl groups on said prepolymer with said isocyanatosilane. Disclosed also is a method of producing the disclosed polyurethane; an adhesive, a sealant or a coating composition containing the disclosed polyurethane and use of the disclosed silylated polyurethane as an adhesive, a sealant or a coating composition.
EFFECT: disclosed silylated polyurethane provides improved rate of hardening and acceptable mechanical strength after hardening and viscosity when used in adhesives, sealants and coating compositions.
