SUBSTANCE: invention refers to child's orthodontics. Patient's upper and lower jaws are obtained. Digital 3-dimensional laser scanning of impressions is performed. Obtaining their digital models with subsequent conversion into digital model of upper jaw with congenital defect and lower jaw. Calculations are performed by digital model of upper jaw and orthopaedic device is made. Sections of finished orthopaedic apparatus corresponding to inner surface of lateral fragments of upper jaw are ground repeatedly selectively every month.
EFFECT: method enables early orthodontic treatment, reduced volume of orthodontic and surgical interventions, eliminated need for making a series of orthopaedic apparatus, increased accuracy of making an orthopaedic apparatus, reducing the risk of skin injuries in the process of treatment ensured by the possibility of moving the lateral fragments of the upper jaw in all planes, controlling the achievement of a comparable shape and size of the alveolar arcs of the upper and lower jaws, using digital 3-dimensional laser scanning of the impressions.
