FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment and can be used in making cruise missiles. Method is based on use of measurement results of angular mismatches between inertial unit and external assembly of transport-launching barrel jointed with launcher. Essence of the proposed method consists in measurement of angular mismatch by roll between the inertial unit of the cruise missile and external assembly of the transport-launching barrel and further use of measurement results for automatic calculation of correction to azimuth angle, measured by the carrier navigation system, during prelaunch preparation. Angular correction measured at the cruise missile manufacturing plant is recorded in the onboard digital computer memory of the rocket and used during the pre-launch preparation to calculate the initial azimuth of the inertial unit of the cruise missile. Calculation of initial azimuth angle of cruise missile is carried out during prelaunch preparation in automatic mode without participation of operator and does not require additional measurement operations.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of determining initial azimuth of inertial unit of cruise missile.
