FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal nuclear power plant fuel. Fuel composition includes a mixture of regenerated plutonium and enriched uranium in the form of oxides, with enriched natural uranium and regenerated plutonium being used as enriched uranium, with the ratio of components determined by the energy potential equal to the potential of freshly prepared NPP fuel from enriched natural uranium, providing loading of the reactor core up to 100 %. Possible options for mixing these components, including unlimited cycling of secondary regenerated plutonium and uranium.
EFFECT: technical result is the ability to maximize the energy potential of uranium and plutonium, including accumulated SNF, as well as the possibility of reducing the storage capacity, up to their decommissioning, and simplifying the technology for manufacturing nuclear fuel from regenerated materials.
