FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to uranium-plutonium nuclear REMIX fuel of nuclear power plants with thermal neutron reactors. Fuel is characterized by that it contains plutonium obtained during processing of SNF of PWR type reactors in amount of 1–2 wt% with content of isotope Pu-239 of more than 51 %, enriched natural uranium in amount of 17–19 wt% with content of isotope U-235 19.75 %, recovered uranium obtained during processing SNF reactors of PWR type, in amount of more than 80 wt%.
EFFECT: possibility of creating a fuel composition of REMIX type, which enables to involve in NFC regenerated from SNF nuclear fission materials with simultaneous use of enriched natural uranium, with utilization of separately separated plutonium (including weapons), reducing the amount of SNF with recycling of fissile materials from SNF during the life of a nuclear reactor (up to 5 recycles), saving natural uranium for fuel fabrication, and as a result, ensuring self-sufficiency of NFC.
