SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric machine engineering and can be used in magnetoelectric generators. Device for protection against short-circuit of magnetoelectric generator includes rotor, magnetic core of stator with slot main winding and toroidal auxiliary magnetising winding, which is electrically connected to direct-current source, toroidal auxiliary magnetising coil is electrically connected to electric resistance unit by means of multichannel ammeter and control system, which is electrically connected to unit of electric resistances with possibility of switching of electric resistances.

EFFECT: increased service life of stator winding, protection against short circuit and accordingly increased reliability of magnetoelectric generator.
