FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: short circuit protection device of magneto-electric generator comprises a magnetoelectric generator made in form of starter-generator of inverted structure with permanent magnets, consisting of two modules, each module comprises a rotor and a stator, each module is provided with an electromechanical isolator which performs the function of a protection unit, wherein rotors of each module are installed with displacement by 60 degrees relative to each other with possibility of forming six-phase system, at that the windings of the stators of both modules are brought out to one common 12-pulse rectifier with the possibility of disconnection of each phase from the rectifier, fire-resistant gaskets are installed between front parts of the stator windings of each module.

EFFECT: short-circuit protection of reverse-structure starter-generator in gas turbine engine by mechanical decoupling of the stator with fixed rod, accompanied by the stator drop in radial direction to mechanical cohesion of the stator iron with rotor permanent magnets to gravitation magnetic forces.
