FIELD: refrigerating equipment.

SUBSTANCE: low-temperature air cooler relates to refrigerating appliances and is used for air cooling. Air cooler consists of coil-ribbed battery (1) with diffuser (2) and electric fan (3). Between fan (3) and battery (1) there is a generator of granulated particles of ice in the form of nozzle (7) oriented along the air flow direction. Heat exchanger with heater (4), pump (5) and tank (6) provide supply of water with near-criosic temperature under pressure to inlet of water nozzle (7). Periodic activation of pump (5) and nozzle (7) creates disperse drop flow. Under the effect of negative air temperatures drops are frozen and in form of ice granules are moved by air through coil-ribbed battery (1).

EFFECT: granules mechanically act on the frost layer, facilitate its destruction and carryover, due to which the air cooler operating efficiency is increased.
