FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of seismic attribute analysis. Disclosed is a method of determining reservoir properties of thin beds, according to which at an initial stage of assessment of collector properties taking into account thin-layered nature of medium, correlation of studied formations is reviewed and specified, analysis of upper part of section is performed with construction of area filters characterizing all significant anomalies of upper part of section. Structural structures are then made based on the refined correlation, which are then used to extract seismic attributes. Joint analysis of petrophysical properties and seismic attributes is carried out using three-dimensional correlations, as well as area filters for detecting clusters (zones) in the cloud of initial data. Based on the analysis, a single design parameter, collector property, is selected. Then, within each cluster, regression relationships are determined, which are used to convert seismic attributes into reservoir properties.
EFFECT: enabling determination of reservoir properties of the formation at a distance from wells for thin-layer reservoirs in the presence of seismic anomalies in the upper part of the section.
