FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of mixing molten polypropylene. Method comprises mixing basic polypropylene, having melt flow index-MFR less than 15 g/10 min and molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) from 6 to 16, and includes a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant, a phosphorus-type antioxidant and an alkyl radical scavenger ranging from 5 to 4,000 ppm. relative to total weight of components; mixing in molten base polypropylene, antioxidants and acceptor of alkyl radicals in extruder at final melting point of at least 210 °C and isolation of melt mixed polypropylene.
EFFECT: invention enables to preserve and improve melt strength of the composition at high processing temperatures.
