FIELD: disinfectology.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to disinfectology and concerns analysis and analysis of bactericidal effectiveness of disinfection means for air disinfection in rooms. Method for assessing bactericidal effectiveness of disinfectants for air disinfection involves preliminary test spraying of a suspension of test microorganisms in a test chamber to obtain microbial population of air, corresponding to required test conditions, exposure to air of the tested disinfectants, measuring current microbial population of air at definite intervals and determining the efficiency of decontamination as a value of degree of reduction of microbial population of air compared to initial air content of air. At that, as the initial population of air for each time interval, the air content measured in the test chamber under the same conditions and at the same time intervals, but without air exposure of the disinfectants, is taken.

EFFECT: invention provides more reliable evaluation of bactericidal effectiveness of disinfection means for air disinfection by taking into account the degree of microbial contamination reduction over time as a result of natural deposition of microorganisms.
