FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a catalyst for a process for isomerisation of n-butane in isobutane, which includes a metal oxide of III-IV groups, an anion of an oxygen-containing acid, wherein it is a catalytic complex of general formula ZrxOy*aAn-, where: x=1-2, y=2-3, An- – anion of sulfuric acid, a=0.01–0.2, dispersed directly on hydrated nanodispersed ZrxOy, containing a hydrogenating component. Also disclosed are versions of a method of preparing such a catalyst and a method for catalytic isomerisation of n-butane n-butane to isobutane, from which catalyst described above is used as a catalyst.
EFFECT: high catalyst productivity, low temperature and pressure of the process.
