FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the catalysts intended for the hydroisomerization of n-alkanes, as well as of straight-run and hydrotreated diesel fractions, and can be used in the petroleum refining industry. The catalyst is described for the hydroisomerization of n-alkanes, which contains nano-dispersed molybdenum carbide as active component in the amount of 2.5-10.0 wt %, and as an acid carrier the catalyst contains crystalline silicoaluminate SAPO-31 with the ATO structure, granulated with aluminium oxide. The method of preparing a catalyst by applying an active component - molybdenum carbide - to an acidic carrier followed by carbonation is also described. As a precursor of molybdenum carbide, an organic complex of ammonium paramolybdate with citric acid is used, and as an acid carrier, silicoaluminate crystalline SAPO-31 is used with the ATO structure, previously granulated with aluminium oxide. The application of the organic complex of ammonium paramolybdate with citric acid is carried out by impregnation with respect to the moisture capacity followed by carbonization in a hydrogen stream at the temperature of not more than 600°C. As a result, a catalyst is produced containing nanodispersed molybdenum carbide with a dispersion of 4-30 nm and a specific surface of 20-110 m2/g.

EFFECT: high activity and selectivity of catalysts in the hydroisomerization reaction of n-alkanes.
