SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of applying a skin-friendly agent on an absorbent article. A method of applying a skin-friendly agent on an absorbent article by means of a flow synchronized printing process of a water-based paint composition containing a binder and a microencapsulated skin-friendly agent. Absorbing article comprising a top sheet layer having a body-facing surface and a surface facing the garment, the article having a longitudinal front portion, a longitudinal rear portion and a crotch portion located between the front and rear portions, and wherein the article has a water-based paint composition comprising a binder and a microencapsulated skin-friendly agent applied thereon by printing through a flow synchronized printing technique, wherein skin-friendly agent is at least partially hydrophobic or lipophilic substance or additive, and material of microcapsules is insoluble in water at 20 °C.

EFFECT: method described above enables accurate arrangement of the paint composition onto the absorbent product.
