SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of aluminum alloys, particularly to deformable alloys based on aluminum, used as high-strength structural material in single-use articles. High-strength deformed alloy based on aluminum of system Al-Zn-Mg-Cu contains, wt. %: zinc 7.4–8.4; magnesium 2.3–3.0; copper 2.0–2.6; manganese 0.05–0.29; titanium 0.01–0.05; zirconium 0.05–0.12; chromium 0.05–0.15; beryllium 0.0005–0.002; cerium 0.001–0.01; iron 0.05–0.25; silicon 0.01–0.10; aluminum – balance, wherein alloy contains hydrogen 0.05–0.35 cm3/100 g of metal.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining an alloy with high strength and sufficient plasticity, as well as obtaining articles of large diameter by semi-continuous casting by improving casting properties of the alloy.
