FIELD: paint industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the paint industry and can be used to protect rust-contaminated metal surfaces. Rust converter contains components at following ratio, wt%: latex SKS-65 GP – 16–17.7; aqueous tannin solution – 7.7–9; oxalic acid – 1.9–2.4; water – the rest up to 100%. For preparation latex is loaded into mixing device at mixer rpm – 110–140 rpm and temperature of 25–35 °C. Gradually add tannin solution to latex with minimum mixing time of 20 minutes. A solution of oxalic acid is added to the obtained mixture at a minimum mixing time of 8 minutes.
EFFECT: improved adhesion properties and physical and mechanical properties of the protective film, shorter acquisition time.
