FIELD: heating equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for soldering of heat exchanger, which contains outer shell with transition ring made of stainless steel and inner shell with ribs, having cone surface and made of steel with different coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). Shells are assembled to form a cavity between them, evacuation of cavity, heating and soldering of shells. Preliminary process ring is made of steel with CTE less than CTE steel of inner and outer shells. On the conical surface of the transition ring of the outer shell on the side of its smaller diameter, a groove is made in the form of a ledge, in which the said process ring is tightly fitted against the stop, and fixed on the side of the smaller diameter of the outer shell by means of welding of the steel process plates holding the process ring from the movement during heating during soldering.
EFFECT: method ensures soldering of heat exchanger without cooling channel passages in small diameter zone with provision of tight contact of connected shells in the specified zone due to elimination of ovality and provision of capillary clearances for soldering.
