FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, namely, to rotary internal combustion engines. Essence of invention consists in that rotor (10) of rotary engine includes three lateral sides (12), located mainly in the form of equilateral triangle, each of which has front edge (16) and rear edge (17), wherein front edge (16) of at least one of lateral sides of rotor comprises elongated ledge (21) extending along entire length of lateral side (12) of rotor in axial direction. At least one side of rotor has, mainly, outward bent profile from ledge to rear edge of lateral side of profile.
EFFECT: technical result is higher performance of engine due to higher efficiency of converting gas expansion energy into torque.
