FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the small arms. Silencer for small arms comprises casing, cover with threaded flange to be fitted on gun, separator with lengthwise tie rods, transverse annular partitions with central hole for bullet span, heat-absorbing element. Heat-absorbing element is made in the form of coil, central axis of which has axial hole for bullet span and radial holes for passage of powder gases. A fine-mesh metal net is wound on the axis. Heat-absorbing element is installed at 1.3–1.8 of inner diameter from muff of silencer cover with possibility of replacement or removal.

EFFECT: increased degree of braking and cooling of powder gases, considerable reduction of shot sound, exclusion of flame and smoke, reduced length of silencer.
