FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of oil recovery factor in laboratory conditions based on data obtained during analysis of core samples from deposit, using steam drainage process. Proposed method consists in laboratory determination of oil recovery coefficient at oil displacement by water. Core sample is made from a model mixture, the oil content of which corresponds to the core obtained during drilling of the deposit, a pressure drop is created along the sample length, water vapour is supplied to one end of the core sample, water is sampled from the other end of the core sample, the oil recovery coefficient is calculated as the ratio of the weight of oil in the released liquid to the weight of oil in the core sample.

EFFECT: higher reliability and simplification of determination.
