FIELD: intensification of oil production.
SUBSTANCE: catalytic composition for underground upgrading of high-viscosity oil and enhanced oil recovery under hydrothermal treatment is described, including an oil-soluble catalyst based on nickel Ni(C17H35COO)2 and a hydrogen-donor solvent – diesel fuel, in a mass ratio: catalyst Ni(C17H35COO)2 : diesel fuel = 1 : 1. A method for using a catalytic composition is described, which consists in the fact that during hydrothermal treatment of high-viscosity oil during steam injection, a catalytic composition is introduced into high-viscosity oil for underground upgrading of high-viscosity oil and enhanced oil recovery during hydrothermal treatment at a concentration of 4 wt.% of the mass of high-viscosity oil.
EFFECT: intensification of the degree of hydrothermal conversion of heavy high-viscosity oil due to the combined use of an oil-soluble catalyst and diesel fuel at temperatures of 200, 250, 300, 350, 400°C.
