SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. Soundproof crosspiece for a vehicle contains a docking end. Docking end comprises separate support surfaces coming into contact with corresponding part of vehicle, and protruding element. Second support surface is located between the first and third support surfaces at a level different from the first and third support surfaces. Projecting element positions the soundproof crossbar along its longitudinal axis relative to the vehicle part. Structure of vehicle comprises said soundproof crossbar. Method of connecting a soundproof cross member to a structure of a motor vehicle comprises steps of taking a soundproof crossbar, taking a part of a motor vehicle comprising a cavity, positioning a docking end on the cavity, attaching the docking end at the level of the bearing surfaces by welding.
EFFECT: easier mounting of the soundproof cross member on the vehicle.
