FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of observation and tracking of flight of spacecrafts (SC) during their movement around the gravitating celestial body (Earth, Moon, Sun, etc.). Aboard the spacecraft, at least two stellar sensors (SS) and the same direction sensors are mounted on the gravitating body, for example, on the Sun (S). Several SS reduce the risk of exposure, and several S expand their actual field of view (with simultaneous ingress of Sun). Proposed algorithm for processing measurements of SS and S, leading them to a single system of coordinates associated with the base for mounting SS and S, provides higher accuracy of determination of spacecraft orbit. Geometric control system in form of a plurality of sensor displacement transducers relative to their base facilitates this.
EFFECT: high-accuracy independent determination of spacecraft orbit parameters around this or that celestial body.
