DEVICE FOR SAFE POSITIONING OF SYRINGE WITH NEEDLE IN BODY CAVITY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61M5/32

Abstract RU 2696431 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a pressure-dependent engagement device for automatic connection of a driving force to a needle and disconnection of a driving force from a needle depending on external pressure acting on the needle. Proposed device comprises housing with inner space. Device includes a pressure-sensitive element forming part of pressure chamber located in inner space for determination of external pressure. Pressure-sensitive element is configured to switch between the first configuration corresponding to the first pressure state and the second configuration corresponding to the second pressure state. Device has a force-receiving element functionally connected to the pressure-sensitive element. Force receiving element has a complementary structure for the force transmitting element, which is functionally connected to the force application structure for application of the driving force by the user. During operation, the needle is connected to the force application structure by means of the coupling-sensitive pressure device and pressure-sensitive element is in pressure communication with external pressure so that when external pressure passes threshold level, pressure-sensitive element switches from one configuration to another. This leads to connection of force receiving element with force transmitting force or disconnection with it. As a result, the force applied to the force application structure is connected to the needle or disconnected from it.

EFFECT: reduced risk of pricking of surrounding vital structures.
