SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to lubricating compositions for conveyor belts and other surfaces suitable for lubrication by direct application by means of an atomiser, containing: from 5 wt% to 25 wt% of one or more fatty acids; from 70 wt% to 85 wt% of one or more hydrocarbons; from 0.1 wt% to 5 wt% of one or more sorbitan esters and from 1 wt% to 5 wt% of one or more non-ionic surfactants, wherein the non-ionic surfactants contain an ethoxylated alcohol; while the composition does not substantially contain water. Also disclosed are methods of using lubricants in dry form by forming a layer of lubricant or film on surface, while maintaining friction coefficient at a level of less than 0.2, which facilitates movement of containers on surface, wherein the surface is a metal and/or plastic conveyor chain or a container in contact with a metal and/or plastic conveyor chain, wherein the lubricating composition is applied as a non-diluted.

EFFECT: disclosed is dry lubricant for surfaces from plastic and stainless steel.
