SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to device (100, 100', 100'', 100''') for external wound occlusion, made with possibility of insertion into wound W, and method of external wound occlusion. Device comprises basic element (12, 12', 12'', 12'''), closing element (3, 3'', 3'''), closing element (3, 3'', 3''') releasing mechanism. Closing element (3, 3'', 3''') comprises frame element (31) and layered element (32) and closing element (3, 3'', 3''') is configured to transform between narrowed and expanded configuration (3') by means of release mechanism. Closing element (3, 3'', 3''') in expanded configuration (3') has a shape adapted to the wound W shape, forming a connection with the wound W fixed due to the shape and/or fixed due to the force. Connection of closing element (3, 3'', 3''') fixed due to the shape and/or fixed due to force with wound W performs occlusion function. Method includes making device (100, 100', 100'', 100''') for occlusion of external wound, arrangement of device (100, 100', 100'', 100''') for wound occlusion in wound W, transformation of closing element (3, 3'', 3''') from the narrowed configuration to expanded configuration (3') by using the release mechanism, resulting in wound occlusion W.
