SUBSTANCE: method includes: feeding first continuous base web (1') in machine direction (MD); attaching continuous elastic waist component (4) to first base web (1'); attaching second continuous base web (1ʺ) to first continuous base web (1') with closing at least continuous belt component (4), as a result of which composite base web (11) is formed; cutting composite base web (11), resulting in a web for the first panels, comprising first panel part (18) and first waist part (28), and web (9) for second panels, containing second panel part (19) and second lap part (29). Canvas (8) for the first panels and canvas (9) for the second panels extend in the machine direction (MD) with the first and second waist sections (28, 29) facing each other when placed side by side; changing the position of blade (8) for the first panels and blade (9) for the second panels, resulting in blade (8, 9) for the first and second panels are translated to a position in which first and second edges (38, 39) formed by cutting, facing away from each other; connection of first lateral edge (12) of web (8) for the first panels with second lateral edge (13) of web (9) for the second panels, as a result of which concatenated main web (21) is formed.
EFFECT: method for manufacturing a basic web for a disposable article in the form of pants is proposed.
