METHOD FOR PERMUTATIONAL DECODING OF BLOCK CODES BASED ON ORDERED COGNITIVE MAP Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H04L1/20 H03M13/05

Abstract RU 2697732 C1

FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in designing new and upgrading existing systems for transmitting discrete information. Method for permutating decoding of block codes based on ordered cognitive map consists in that numbering symbols of received code combination V of initial systematic block code together with their symbols according to main algorithm are ordered in descending order of their soft solutions. All soft solutions are divided into two groups. First group includes the most reliable estimates, and the structure of the generator matrix of the equivalent code is determined from them. Since permutations of reliable symbols can be repeated when processing subsequent combinations, they are stored by the decoder together with the corresponding results of their processing and recorded in the cognitive card of the decoder. Having obtained a specific permutation pattern, the decoder lexicographically finds the sample in the cognitive map and extracts from the database the finished sample of the generating matrix of the equivalent code, after which the operation of the decoder is performed according to the main algorithm. Since all permutations in group codes obey cyclic shifts, then for each such permutation group a sample of the generator matrix is generated, and all permutations in the lexicographic list are additionally accompanied by the number of the cyclic group to which the particular permutation relates.

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility to reduce the amount of memory for storage of equivalent matrices of equivalent codes.
