FIELD: cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the cosmetic industry and represents a personal hygiene composition containing a complex of taurine, L-arginine and glycine with a weight ratio of taurine:L-arginine:glycine making (2–6.9):(1–3.5):(0.1–1) to reduce skin irritation and improve skin barrier repair function, and in which the combined total amount of taurine, L-arginine and glycine in the composition ranges from 0.0007 % to 3 % by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, wherein 0.0007 % to 0.001 % by weight of the total weight of the composition for improving the skin barrier repair function or 0.5 % to 3 % by weight relative to the total weight of the composition for reducing skin irritation. Inventions also include a method for reducing skin irritation and/or inflammation and/or improving skin barrier recovery by the composition.
EFFECT: group of invention provides enhanced synergetic effect of taurine in the presence of arginine and glycine.
